Exploration Peak Park is the centerpiece of the community, with walking and biking trails leading up the 2,846-foot-high mountain park to provide spectacular views of the Las Vegas Valley and Mountains Edge. This top-rated park features Old West-themed playground equipment, a Western town replica and covered wagon play structure, an Indian village with a web teepee climber, and an archaeology dig site.
The massive park also features a kids’ playground with giant climbing structures, a massive chip net jungle gym that always reminds us of Pringle’s chips, and open fields for self-organized games. A unique fitness-themed area includes a sports wall with 12 different sports integrated into its design, including football, basketball, baseball, soccer, and hockey.

The area around Mountain’s Edge offers plenty to do. Families with children will find a variety of neighborhood parks with playgrounds, baseball fields, tennis courts, and fitness equipment. Those who love to hike can check out Exploration Peak Trail, which stretches up 2,800 feet for a stunning view of the community and The Strip.
Those who prefer shopping can enjoy a range of options, including the Fashion Show Las Vegas, which features six expansive department stores and more than 250 stores. Popular chain restaurants and local eateries like Khoury’s Mediterranean, Don Tortaco Mexican Grill, and Inaka Sushi are also in the area.
Mountain’s Edge is well-suited for families who want a quiet lifestyle away from The Strip and Downtown Las Vegas. The community frequently hosts events that keep residents engaged and connected, such as a dog-friendly event that includes agility training, pet competitions, pet adoptions, and a food truck festival. Wright, and Jan Jones Blackhurst elementary schools, which earned a coveted A rating from Niche. Middle school students go to Lois and Jerry Tarkanian Middle School, Lawrence and Heidi Canarelli Middle School, and Wilbur and Theresa Faiss Middle School. Older students attend Desert Oasis High School, which has a curriculum designed to help students be “enrollable, enlistable, and employable” when they graduate.
Homeowners enjoy access to four main parks including Exploration Peak Park, Nathaniel Jones Park, Paiute Park, and a variety of greenbelts and trails. At the top of Exploration Peak, hikers can take in views of the Spring Mountains and the city of Las Vegas from several scenic vantage points. The park’s 80 acres also feature playgrounds, picnic areas, basketball courts, and a huge chip net jungle gym.
Homeowners Association
Homeowners associations are common features in most master-planned communities. These are responsible for community management and maintenance as well as setting the rules and regulations for neighborhoods like Valla at Mountain’s Edge. Monthly dues are collected to help cover the cost of these services.
The community hosts exclusive events designed for residents like a pet festival featuring dog sports demonstrations, food & drink for humans and pets, adoptions, and more. A popular event held every April 22 is Earth Day, which celebrates the planet and its inhabitants and aims to educate people about how they can do their part.
